Hi Maart, I got to your blog through "A map for Saturday" Fb page and I like it very much. I'm 22 and would love to do this kind of RTW. But I've got to save up enough money first... would you be so kind as to share the aproximate costs of let's say a year long trip? (Or I read your first was 7 months...) I would very much appreciate that. Thanks and keep up the work,it's great ;) ! Ivona
Hi Ivona, When we traveled for 7 months, i spent around 4500 euro. It's always a wild guess what you're going to spend, but in Asia it's really cheap to travel around. Where do you want to go to? Because for example South America and New Zealand are more expensive. But in Asia you can think about 600 euro per month for everything. But it all depends on how your journey is, i mean: do you travel basic, or do you want posh places to sleep? Good luck, and thanks for reading my blog! It would be so nice if you became a follower, so you get an email every time i post a new topic.
Wow, that was quick! Thanks so much for the reply! I am a poor Czech student backpacker :) so I would try to use Couchsurfing as a main source of accomodation, then maybe hostels... I was thinking of getting a RTW flight (Asia, Australia, NZ, North America)but I'm trying to work everything out for now, with uni and work. It's so exciting to actually hear from someone who did this kind of thing. I'm a great fan, really! Take care and good luck with your future adventures!
